The Sallis Gut Strings project originates from the idea of resuming the activity dedicated to the production and marketing of natural gut in general and in particular natural gut tennis strings that has brought fame to Salle (Pe) since the year 1900.
At the beginning of the year 1900, the original production of harmonic strings obtained from the processing of animal guts was also accompanied by the production of tennis strings.
More recently, in the 1950's, my grandfather Luigi Di Benedetto and later, in the 1970's, my father Nicola Di Monte, embarked on gut processing both bagging and producing tennis strings.
The "Two Lions" brand is just one of the tennis strings produced by my grandfather Luigi (the same packaging and strings are visible at Salle's Harmonic Strings Museum).
From the first laboratory tests, the Sallis Gut Strings have given a response beyond the expected results both with regard to impact with the ball (low load on the arm and shoulder) and with regard to tension, also in the medium to long term.
